Masonic House Leichhardt

The house in Leichhardt was a former Masonic Hall and still retained all the internal fitout features when the house was purchased. The process of converting the Hall into a house required extensive renovations internally and allowed the Architects the opportunity to introduce new elements including a lap pool in the previous main hall at the lower level, mezzanine level bedrooms at the lower level and upper level and a mezzanine office/work area at the upper level. The main upper level hall was then converted into a kitchen/breakfast/living and dining area and with the whole house retaining many of the features of the previous use.

Bylett Associates provided cost planning advice during the design development stages, pre-tender estimates, tender reviews and post contract services for a construction management project including assessing progress claims and preparing reports for the financiers.
