The Tourism sector covers a diverse range of projects which range from campsites through to hotels and resorts which, in many cases, are found in remote and unique locations. This range is particularly marked when city locations are compared with rural and remote resorts. The city location will already be part of a social environment so the focus is more on consistency of presentation with hotels in the same group and providing guests with a sense of comfort and security.
Remote location hotels are looking to offer exclusivity and luxury where the outside environment contributes to the guests’ experience. The Emirates resort in Wolgan Valley exemplifies the latter offering and Chris has also provided the cost management role on upgrades to the Ayers Rock Resort and in particular for Longitude 131 which is a luxury tent offering with uninterrupted views of Uluru.
